Last week our Head of Service, Nicola Panton

completed her epic bike ride across France.

She cycled 465 miles from Coast to Coast in 6 days.

I may be smiling in all the pictures, but it was no easy feat and there were tough days with long and hot climbs. We also had to contend with detours and some fast (and sometimes terrifying) descents – 36 mph was my fastest down hill! With 6 consecutive days of cycling, carrying all my own kit, I was really out of my comfort zone. But it was beautiful scenery and there was never a moment I wasn’t sure I’d finish thanks to all the support from back home.
