We’re a local charity providing a safe and compassionate space for women
Almost all the women we help are currently experiencing or have a history of domestic abuse. Many are experiencing other issues too such as drug and alcohol abuse or homelessness. Uniquely, we are the only women’s centre in Luton working with women that have offended or are at risk of doing so. We’re also the only one with onsite childcare facilities for our clients.
Our Impact
It’s our job to support women as they begin their journey of healing, empowerment, and renewal. During the 2025-26 financial year we had a big impact in Luton and Central Bedfordshire.
Our approach
Stepping Stones (Luton) is an innovative woman-centred service that is driven by passion enabling vulnerable women to transform their lives and reach their full potential. We empower and inspire women to make positive choices, creating a better future for themselves, their children, their families and the communities in which they live.
At the heart of our approach is the understanding that recovery is not just about leaving abuse behind, but about rebuilding lives — with dignity, strength, and hope. To support this journey, we offer therapeutic and educational support tailored to each woman’s needs.
