Welcoming Tysie Gallagher as our new Empowerment Ambassador
11 December 2025
We are proud to welcome professional Boxer, Tysie Gallagher, as our first ever Empowerment Ambassador. A proud Lutonian and British, Commonwealth and WBO champion, Tysie has built her career through hard work, discipline, and determination — qualities that reflect what we stand for.
Tysie’s journey from growing up in Luton to becoming a national boxing champion is inspiring, but what truly sets her apart is her willingness to speak openly about her own challenges, her dedication to her community, and her passion for empowering others. She understands the realities so many women face — the battles that happen long before anyone steps into a ring — and she brings not just her profile, but genuine empathy and commitment to the role of Empowerment Ambassador.
“Boxing has taught me discipline, respect, and the importance of believing in yourself. For me, it’s never about violence — it’s about inner strength and perseverance. I’m honoured to work with Stepping Stones to help women see just how powerful they are.”
Tysie Gallagher
Tysie was introduced to boxing at the age of 11 when her mother took her to a class at a community centre in Luton. She won her first national title aged 13 years, the coveted Golden Gloves, and became the number one female boxer in England in her weight class. In May 2024 she became the first-ever women’s British Super Bantamweight Champion Boxer.
Tysie Gallagher shares our belief that every woman deserves safety, support, and the chance to rebuild with dignity. We’re thrilled to have her on the team, championing our mission and helping raise the profile of Stepping Stones even further.
As Empowerment Ambassador, Tysie will raise awareness of our services, encourage women to embrace their potential, and advocate for a future free from domestic abuse. Tysie will also take part in upcoming community events and awareness campaigns to highlight the support available for women and families who are rebuilding their lives after abuse.
